Bread Making Class

Our homeschool group had a bread making class the other day. It was SO interesting. I figured it would be a simple class teaching the kids to make bread - that's it. But it was so much more.

Not only did they start with home ground wheat flour and learn to grind it themselves but everything was natural and great for you! It was really a lesson on natural eating and non-preservative cooking. Very interesting though.
The kids (and moms!) had a good time weighing out the ingredients on very precise scales, mixing by hand, forming perfect loaves or rolls (even the rolls were each weighed perfectly).
The group that taught us had a lesson on the gifts of God and how we need to be good stewards of all He has given us - including our bodies.

The best part for everyone though was at the end when we all got to sample the breads, crackers, and rolls the group had brought with them. There were some very yummy items - including a natural almond pate - it was incredible!
